International Midwifery Educator-Volunteer

Location: Various locations around the world

Job Summary:

The International Midwifery Educator-Volunteer will travel to various locations around the world to provide workshops on the proper skills needed for a safe and successful midwifery delivery. These workshops will typically last 3-5 days and you will be responsible for covering your own travel expenses. Room and board for the duration of the workshop will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver 3-5 day midwifery workshops to various international locations
Prepare handouts and facilitate discussions
Coach and guide midwifery students during the workshops
Develop and revise course content as necessary to ensure it meets the needs of the students
Provide feedback and one-on-one instruction
Help to identify resources needed for successful midwifery delivery
Ensure all materials are properly utilized during the workshops
Maintain good communication and relationships with participants, host families, and other volunteers

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery or a related field
Minimum two years of clinical midwifery experience
Demonstrated evidence of teaching experience
Knowledge of international midwifery regulations and guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to cultural and linguistic differences
A genuine passion for teaching and helping others
