WATER INITIATIVES
At New Life Global Missions, we have developed two main programs: Sawyer Water Bucket Filter Programs and Artesian Well Installations. Our Sawyer Water Bucket Filters provide an easy-to-use filtration system that can be used in any bucket with a spigot or tap connection so that families can easily filter their own drinking water onsite at home or in their community for years of use! In addition, we work with local communities and partners around the world to install artesian wells which provide long term solutions for large scale areas where underground groundwater tables are available but surface sources of potable drinking water are not.

COMPLETED WATER PROJECT: 2019
ZAMBIA WATER WELL PROJECT:
New Life funded and supervised one of our earlier completed water projects: the drilling and construction of a remarkable Zambia Water Well Project to supply an impoverished Zambian community with clean water for the first time in its history. Prior to this project, the people had to walk miles from their village in search of safe drinking water. The journey was long and arduous, but they still had to make it so that they could fill up barrels with whatever meagre amounts of dirty, brown liquid they could find. This makeshift solution posed a great risk to their health as the contaminated water caused numerous illnesses among them over time.
Thankfully, New Life stepped in and changed all that by funding and constructing this new well that would provide a consistent source of fresh, clean water right at their doorstep! This is an incredible blessing for these people as it will ensure that many thousands of lives are saved from preventable illnesses from drinking contaminated water. It is hard for us who can take access to clean running water for granted to imagine how impactful this new source is for those deprived thus far, but it truly is life-changing! And we thank New Life for taking on such an important responsibility!

ECUADOR WASHING MACHINE DONATION:
The recent initiative sponsored by a single anonymous donor to provide washing machines to communities in Ecuador is an amazing example of the power of generosity. This donation was made under the Operation Clean Laundry campaign, which aims to improve access to clean laundry for those living in poverty in Ecuador. This generous donation will make a profound difference in the lives of those that receive it, allowing them to do their laundry more efficiently and without having to worry about the cost associated with it.
This type of donation not only helps people save money, but it also allows them time back into their days. Without having to take time out of their day just for laundry, they can focus on other important tasks such as working or taking care of family members. Additionally, this type of donation provides people with greater access to clean clothes which can help improve health by decreasing the risk for infection and disease transmission. Finally, this type of donation can help reduce environmental pollution as washing machines use less energy and water than hand-washing clothes does.
Overall, this generous washing machine donation has made a world of difference for those living in poverty in Ecuador and is an excellent reminder that even small contributions from individuals can have enormous impacts on other's wellbeing. We are incredibly thankful for this anonymous donor'sthoughtful completed water projects gift and hope that more donations like these will continue be made around the world so that everyone has access to basic necessities such as clean laundry services regardless of where they live or how much money they make
COMPLETED WATER PROJECT: 2021
TAPALA, ECUADOR (AUGUST 15, 2021)
Sawyer Water Bucket Filter Programs are a cost-effective solution that can provide clean, safe drinking water for families in Ecuador. Sawyer Water Bucket Filters use a two-stage filtration process to remove 99.99999% of bacteria and protozoan cysts from water sources that are often contaminated by microbial pathogens such as E. coli and Giardia lamblia. The filter is capable of filtering up to 1 million gallons of water, enough to provide clean drinking water for an entire family for up to five years depending on usage and filter maintenance. By implementing Sawyer Water Bucket Filter Programs in Tapala, Ecuador (15th August 2021), we helped improve the health of local communities by providing them with access to clean drinking water.
In addition to increasing access to clean drinking water through Sawyer Water Bucket Filter Programs, we also planned and implemented funding the installation of artesian wells in Ecuador. Artesian wells are deep boreholes tapped into underground aquifers which provide a reliable source of groundwater for communities seeking improved access to safe and reliable sources of potable water supply. These wells can be expensive due their depth but they will be able to serve entire communities with long-term benefits including improved health outcomes and increased productivity from agricultural activities due the better quality irrigation available from these wells than other sources such as rivers or streams which may not yield potable quality water all year round or at times when river levels fluctuate too much during dry spells or floods caused by heavy rains or seasonal changes in weather patterns over time . By investing in artesian well installations, we helped to improve the lives of people living in rural parts of Ecuador where access to safe drinking is often limited or non existent altogether.
COMPLETED WATER PROJECT: 2022
WELL REPAIR HAITI
For this completed water projects. A generous donor used their extra funds to repair a well in a village in Haiti, restoring the water supply to the local community. The donor wishes to remain anonymous, but this act of kindness shows how it is possible to use our blessings to help others. This donation demonstrates the importance of giving back and sharing what we have with those who are less fortunate. Supporting people and communities in need can make a huge impact on their lives and by making small donations, we can create lasting change for those who need it most.
