This program is aimed to provide already qualified midwives in low resource countries the opportunity to grow in skills, education, and knowledge in evidence-based maternity care. As well as an opportunity to earn an income and explore a new country and culture.  

This program is aimed to provide midwives in developing countries with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  

Program duration: 3-6 months

Monthly Stipend: $300 USD

Room and board provided. Acceptance into the program is dependent on qualifications and visa requirements.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Missionary Midwife-Stipend is responsible for providing comprehensive midwifery care, teaching, and supervision to clients living in rural, low-resource areas in need of quality maternity care. This person will serve full-time in Mexico and will be expected to work closely within a team responsible for outreach programs and births.

This opportunity provides individuals with the chance to work on an international level to further their knowledge and experience in their given field. This full-time position will be employed on a stipend basis and offer the chance to visit different countries and attend international conferences and field trips.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide safe, quality midwifery care to mothers living in rural, low-resource areas.
• Supervise and teach midwifery students.
• Oversee outreach programs and births.
• Monitor quality control measures in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide one-on-one patient assessment and counseling.
• Respond to patient requests for consultation or referral.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plan as needed.
• Prepare complete and accurate reports.
• Develop medical protocols and assist with industry-wide standards.
• Provide education and health promotion activities on midwifery topics.
• Assess the educational needs of pregnant women, birth parents, and their families.
• Participate in community health education events.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Qualified Midwife with 10+ years of primary experience.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of labor, delivery, and postpartum care and procedures.
• Experience in rural or remote health care settings preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Good physical health and resilience in difficult and unfamiliar situations.
• Fluency in the local language is preferred.
• A valid passport and willingness to travel overseas.
• Must have a flexible schedule and ability to work scheduled shifts.
• All other qualifications are relevant to midwifery care.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Fundraising Director to join our team. In this role, you will lead the fundraising efforts for our organization by developing targeted fundraising strategies, creating effective solicitation procedures, and overseeing fundraising activities. You will ensure the achievement of our fundraising goals and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create positive and impactful fundraising programs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to drive donations and revenue for our organization
• Create effective solicitation procedures and processes to ensure the success of all fundraising activities.
• Develop communication materials to inform potential donors about our cause
• Research, identify, and contact potential donors
• Monitor and report on fundraising progress and goals
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including boards, staff, and vendors, in order to execute successful fundraising initiatives
• Develop and maintain positive public relations with potential donors, including providing detailed information on our cause
• Ensure donor information is managed efficiently and accurately
• In collaboration with finance staff, manage gift reconciliation and tracking

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Proven track record in fundraising
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to develop relationships with potential donors and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Must be detail-oriented and highly self-motivated
• Knowledge of fundraising software and databases
• Knowledge of legal and accounting regulations related to fundraising
• Experience in budget development and analysis a plus

JOB SUMMARY:

The International Midwifery Educator-Volunteer will travel to various locations around the world to provide workshops on the proper skills needed for a safe and successful midwifery delivery. These workshops will typically last 3-5 days, and you will be responsible for covering your own travel expenses. Room and board for the duration of the workshop will be provided.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and deliver 3–5-day midwifery workshops to various international locations.
• Prepare handouts and facilitate discussions.
• Coach and guide midwifery students during the workshops.
• Develop and revise course content as necessary to ensure it meets the needs of the students.
• Provide feedback and one-on-one instruction.
• Help to identify resources needed for successful midwifery delivery.
• Ensure all materials are properly utilized during the workshops.
• Maintain good communication and relationships with participants, host families, and other volunteers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Midwifery or a related field
• Minimum two years of clinical midwifery experience
• Demonstrated evidence of teaching experience
• Knowledge of international midwifery regulations and guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to cultural and linguistic differences
• A genuine passion for teaching and helping others
