We are passionate about supporting and educating mothers on the amazing benefits of breastfeeding, and strive to make sure that every mother has a beautiful and successful breastfeeding experience. We are here to support you every step of the way and provide you with the resources and tools you need to ensure that your breastfeeding journey is a positive one.

Delayed Cord Clamping

Our staff are trained in the practice of delayed cord clamping, which is the practice of leaving the umbilical cord intact until it has finished pulsating. This practice is important because it ensures that the newborn baby receives all of the blood from the placenta, as it contains essential nutrients and oxygen that the baby needs in order to be healthy and strong. Delayed cord clamping can help to prevent anemia in newborns, and can also reduce the risk of infection. We understand the importance of this practice, and that is why our staff is trained and ready to perform delayed cord clamping for all of our patients and their newborn babies.

Water Birth

Water birth is a natural and safe way for mothers to give birth in environments where clean water is available. This method of birth offers mothers natural pain relief, and allows them to relax during labor, reducing stress for both mother and baby. We are committed to providing all women with the opportunity to experience a water birth, and the many benefits it can offer. With its gentler environment and sense of security, water birth can be a more comfortable, calming, and empowering experience for both mother and baby. It also has been known to reduce labor time, decrease the need for medical interventions, and provide a more pleasant postpartum experience.

Respect the Philological Birth Process

Our staff is trained to understand and respect the philological birth process, and take the necessary precautions to ensure a safe and successful outcome. They are knowledgeable in recognizing signs of distress and complications, and are capable of quickly responding to any potential risks that may arise during the birth process. We are highly skilled in the art of handling any and all emergencies, and takes pride in making sure that the entire process is conducted with the utmost care and attention. We strive to provide our patients with the best possible care and comfort during this special time in their lives.

Education

We are deeply invested in educating our mothers and their families about the natural birth process. To do this, we use a variety of methods, including videos, models, and charts, to help explain the process in a way that is easily understandable. We also strive to provide resources and advice to empower and equip mothers so they can make informed decisions throughout their pregnancy and birth. Our ultimate goal is to create an environment where mothers and families feel supported and informed, and where they can make the best decisions for their health and well-being. We believe that education is the key to creating meaningful change and empowerment.

What Clients Say About Us

Jessy- Vilcabamaba

My experience with New Life and their midwives has been a wonderful one. I went to the clinic when I was 20 weeks pregnant, I saw Morgan throughout the rest of my pregnancy. She was very supportive and encouraging. Several times she went the extra mile for me and acted as a true friend. I can tell she truly cared for me and my baby. Before meeting her, Christians always rubbed me the wrong way, my whole life all I met were hypocritical and greedy Christians that pushed me away from God. But my experience with New Life has changed my outlook. I know for certain that God put Morgan and New Life into my life so my baby and I could be loved and cared for in a way I have never experienced before. Thank You very much!

    Changed My Mind

    Vilcabamaba User

My experience at New Life was amazing! I went in to get my IUD removed, and was treated with so much care. Morgan inspected an infected cut I had, and gave me a blend of healing oils to take home As an additional surprise, I was offered a chiropractic adjustment in their neighbouring space by Patrick. For the first time in years, my body feels balanced and aligned. I had no idea that a quick adjustment could make such a huge difference. They are a very kind and generous, providing an incredible service to Vilcabamba. My experience left me feeling empowered and grateful. My hope for our planet’s future is that everyone can have access to gentle, thoughtful, and holistic practices like those of New Life. Thank you!

      Enrica, Vilcabamba, Ecuador

I am so thankful to have the midwives at New Life as my care providers. They are a wonderful team who provide excellent care and advice. The head midwife is a great listener and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of pregnancy and birth. She is always cheerful and friendly, and I feel at ease talking to her. The assistants are so kind and friendly, and always make me feel welcome when I come to appointments. I am also incredibly grateful to those who donate to New Life Global Missions. Your generosity allows us to have access to the best care. Without your donations, we wouldn’t be able to have the quality of care and support that we receive at New Life. I will always be grateful for the care that I have received.

        Yadira, Loja, Ecuador

I spent the first 7 months of my pregnancy in the US and was considering staying there to give birth water birth’s are not practiced in Ecuador. I learned that a midwife from the U.S had recently moved to Vilcabamba. And not only that, she had opened a FREE BIRTH CLINIC!. New Life gave me hope and was the answer to my prayers. We had planned a water birth in Vilcabamba, but my baby decided to be born 18 days early while I was in Loja. The midwife remained so calm, her energy and direction helped me so much. She was a pivotal part of the birth. I would have not been able to have the type of birth that I wanted for my baby if she had not moved to Ecuador. We are all so blessed to have her be part of our community.

          Caitlin, Vilcabamba, Ecuador

I was with New Life through my entire pregnancy at their facility in Ecuador. My labor was an amazing experience. They showed up ready to guide me through every stage, but also giving me the space when I needed it which made me feel at ease and ready for the journey of labor! I did require quite a few stitches after the birth and it was tended to quickly and efficiently. They have also made sure that the postpartum period has been as smooth as possible checking in and making sure my baby and I were healthy and had what we needed. Now I have a beautiful healthy baby boy! I am happy and so grateful I got to go through New Life for my pregnancy and birth. The whole journey for me was stress free.

            Barbi, Loja, Ecuador

I am so thankful I have found New Life birth center! After a hospital birth of our first baby, I was looking for a natural physiological birth. I felt well informed from the very beginning and all my questions were answered patiently during the whole time I was cared for at the center. I really appreciated that I was able to ask questions by messages and be in contact with my midwife. Sadly my pregnancy ended in miscarriage, but I felt supported during the process. I was never pushed, manipulated or shamed into making a decision, my choices were respected and all of my questions answered. The midwives went above and beyond, always willing to explain, providing support, listening, sympathizing, taking the time to be there for me.

              Professional and Respectful.

              Vilcabamba Ecuador

I came to Ecuador as a pregnant refugee, upon my arrival I was brought to New Life for prenatal care by a friend. The women were very kind, they gave me food weekly as we didn’t have much money or food and found ourselves in new country without any friends or family. During my labor they were the support that got me through, they told me I could keep going when I wanted to give up. I felt very supported and more importantly loved. After the baby was born they continued to bring me food and came to check on the baby and I several times a week. They genuinely care for the mothers and babies that have the privilege of receiving care from them. Even after 6 weeks they continued to provide me with support and care.

                Ashley, Vilcabamba, Ecuador

I loved that we had options. We knew we wanted a home birth as we had with our first child, but had the opportunity to use the (free) New Life Birthing Center if wanted/needed. Morgan also had a growing relationship with the local hospital’s maternity ward, so we felt even more comfortable in case of an emergency. During (and immediately after) the birth there were some concerning and uncomfortable moments, Morgan and her team never appeared to be anxious or unhinged. She just continued with calm confidence. She knew when to push me a little harder, but always in a nurturing way. This was such a priceless gift! New Life were a powerful team for us – and we can’t thank them enough!

                  Maria- Vilcabamba

For many years I had pain on my right side and I had no luck with the local hospital, they only gave me pain pills and said I was fine. But then I was told about New Life and the wonderful staff that worked there. I had heard that they would really listen and not just offer a quick diagnosis. So I decided to give it a try and I was so glad I did! They did a ultrasound and told me I had cysts on my right ovary and gave me hormone balancing tincture for free. It’s now been 3 weeks on the tincture and the pain is completely gone. I’m so grateful to the helpful team at New Life for taking the time and care to help me. They really cared about me and my health and I am so thankful for the care and consideration that allows me to live a pain free life.
